I
just wanted to thank you for writing the book "You Can Have
It All." I anticipate reading "The Journey." I picked up
"You Can Have It All" at a used book store for a dollar and
I found it a great read, although I felt certain concepts
you kept over-reiterating, but it still was simple, direct
and revolutionary. I let a lot of my friends read it and
they enjoyed it too.
I am young and still trying to find a point of mastery in
my works. I'm trying to get back to the way I used to think
when I was seventeen, before all the doubt of college
professors invaded my ways of thinking. I swear college
professors can make you feel pretty uncertain about yourself
if you let them, especially when you are paying for them to
teach you. I had one or two teachers I really appreciated,
but that was about it. I found a lot of them to be insecure
about what they taught. I went to art school.
I really find Lauryn Hill's work extremely moving. I am
still learning and appreciate the energy I received from
your writing! Have you seen the movie "Waking Life?" I
watched it recently and I was very fascinated with it too.
I wonder what your take on it would be if you have seen it.
If not I recommend it and Lauryn Hill's album, "The
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." She also has a second album
but she's not as confident in herself with it, but it's
still good. I guess I feel like her second album when I
used to feel like her first, and I'm trying to get back to
being the first one again. Anyhow enough rambling...
anyhow, take care!
