[EXPERIENCING BELIEFS]

Question:

My name is Piet and I live in the Netherlands, Europe. Last year I came in contact with a Dutch support group. Now almost weekly I have a support group with a good friend of mine.

But there are still some questions about it.

First question: Sometimes when I drive home from the city where I work to where I live I want to have an individual purpose like having a parking place for my car. How do I do it all by myself? Do I have to say the invocation by myself by my heart? Do I need to say "Piet we love you just as you are and we support you in all your strength and greatness"? I like my hands to keep on the steering wheel so how do I do all these things?

Answer:

Part I: The Dutch support group you refer to has a different purpose from that of the Mutual Support Group Network. The latter group uses a handbook for support group meetings that you may download at this website. Included in the handbook are the Universal Principles that form the conceptual structure and purpose for the meetings as well as the Network itself.

From your question, your belief is that you have to bring into being something you desire. This belief assumes two things:

1. What you desire does not already exist, and

2. The best way to have what you desire is to use your will power to create it.

One of the Universal Principles is that abundance is the natural state of the Universe. Everything already exists in unlimited abundance. When you perceive that something such as a parking space is in limited supply that is what you experience. In other words you are always experiencing an outplaying of what you believe.

Part II: Freed of beliefs, our consciousness knows that each of us is the God Presence with all the power that Presence implies. The focus that is most supportive is to heighten our awareness of each belief we hold. For each belief indicates a holding on to some idea of limitation.

When you locate a belief, keep that belief in mind as you read through the Universal Principles. This process will support you in seeing and feeling the limitation you accept as true by holding onto the belief

Then, see if you are willing to expand your view of the situation to accept the truth of the Universal Principles.

Part III: You may use your support group partner to assist you in amplifying the impact of the process I have suggested. The exercises in the Mutual Support Group Handbook will guide both of you in opening the energy in the beliefs you have uncovered.

As further support, read through prior questions and answers. This will give you a feel for the Principles and the process used to open to the fullness of who you really are -- The God Presence.

You have taken many years to prove to yourself how limited and insignificant you are. Considering the fact the you are really The God Presence, you can appreciate how much ingenuity and commitment this took. That same ingenuity and commitment is available to you to open the energy in the beliefs you so perseveringly accepted.
