[A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY]

Question:

I have just recently started a new job in which I have gotten a sizable increase in my income. I am an editor and co-writer of a small publication and the writing is not very exciting -- it is mainly reporting news. My dream is to be a writer of spiritual type material. I have no real credentials as far as a degree, but I have tons of experiences that I would love to share. I have been asked to speak to a group of people and give a workshop on some of my experiences (a new-thought church using metaphysical principles). For the life of me, I can't seem to get myself to write the workshop or speech. I feel it will lead to what I am desiring most -- to write about spiritual principles. However, I just can't seem to discipline myself to write and get organized. I'm very frustrated. I keep walking away from it and now it has been about four months since I was asked to speak to that group. I've tried a lot of things: I've walked away from it, I've sat there and forced myself to write, I've tried to forget it, but the desire won't go away. I'm afraid to give it up completely because I have such a passion for it. I feel if I give up I won't have a dream anymore. What a dilemma. How can I either forget about it or line up my energy to do it?

Answer:

You seem to be overlooking a wonderful opportunity -- appreciating the connection between your experiences in the traditional world and the world of spirit. The Universe is suggesting that this is the next step.

Your life in the traditional world is a spiritual experience. Every situation you have faced has been purposeful. Sharing how you feel with an open heart is the most supportive way for you to express.

Your years of experience as a reporter have adequately prepared you to share yourself before an audience. There is a lot to share. Perhaps you can just trust yourself to express spontaneously, rather than rely on notes. This will be the most fun for you and the audience. The only preparation I suggest is that you open yourself to speak from your heart.

Remember, you are the whole of the Universe and all that you see is you. In truth, you are speaking to you. Do you love yourself enough to be an appreciative audience?

Have fun!
