[ASKING FOR APPRECIATION IN THE FORM OF MONEY]

Question:

Dear Arnold,

I wanted to give you my appreciation for the great work you have done so far.  I have learned much from your wise words.

I just don't understand that you ask money for your wisdom?  Why don't you ask people to give love to themselves, or to give love to all?  Isn't that a much better appreciation than money?  If you'd ask people to do that your wise words would have more impact.  And you would help the world to be a better place than you are already doing.  Money is nothing.  Love is everything.  Ask for their love as a reward instead of their money.

Thank you for your time and wisdom.  I am ever so grateful that God gives us his wisdom through people like you.

Much love and wisdom to all.

Answer:

Thank you for your kind and generous comments.  As for your question, you place money and love in opposition to each other. In fact, they are the same.  Everything we see is love regardless of what it looks like.  Money is love, yet we treat it as something totally unlike love.  We see giving and receiving love as wonderful.  Why not see giving and receiving money the same way?

We created money for the purpose of expressing our love.  In the human we hide this purpose and turn money into a trying, challenging and often painful experience.

How did we arrive at this place of turning things upside down?

I have written THE JOURNEY and for several years weekly answers to questions (at my website).

I suggest that you read or reread THE JOURNEY, and scroll back through the questions and answers for the rest of the answer to your question.

However, before you start reading, be aware that you come to everything with an existing mind-set.  You have convinced yourself that mind-set is true and that whatever doesn't agree with it is false.  (You had to create this mind-set so that your human experience would become real for you.)

Your present mind-set  &emdash;- belief  -&emdash;  is that money and love are not equivalent.  I suggest that you keep this in mind as you do your reading.

I introduced the GAME OF APPRECIATION AND COMMITMENT as a way to support the questioners in expanding their awareness beyond their existing mind-set so that they could open the energy they have locked in belief systems that have led them to ask the questions.
