Question:

I am a model. Last year, at a photo shoot for a large cosmetic manufacturer, a chemical was applied to my hair twice, which resulted in my hair being severely over-processed and my scalp chemically burned. Consequently, I lost over 80% of my hair (down to the scalp).

At the time of this injury, I was at the beginning of a very promising career. Even this company was planning to use me for a national ad campaign and tour.

Because of the injuries, I had to stop modeling. I have since retained a lawyer in order to receive payment for the pain, suffering, and loss of wages I experienced.

My intention is to receive an out-of-court settlement quickly and easily. However, the attorneys I've spoken to all say there has never been a case like this tried or settled, and they are hesitant to negotiate a settlement because there is no precedent to follow.

However, I know that God is limitless and that I define my world, so my question is this: How do I pray about this situation? What should my specific prayer be to receive the payment/settlement and outcome I desire/deserve?

Arnold, losing my hair, postponing my career, and the humiliation and suffering I experienced because of this experience resulted in me gaining 40 lbs in a very short period of time and severe depression that I am just now coming out of. At times I have lost hope that I will receive anything from this experience. However, my inner spirit tells me to hold on -- to fight.

I know a lot of models who have experienced similar injuries under similar circumstances, but they never ask for any kind of compensation. I don't want to be like them. I want to send a message to the conglomerates of the world that you cannot abuse people and act like it never happened. I want justice for myself and others for the greater good of this entire industry.

Can you please assist me in any way? What are your thoughts on this issue?

Our purpose in coming into the human is not to find "justice," punish those who are "bad" and reward those who are "good." Human laws are intentionally opposite to Universal Law.

We create human laws and give them power only by vesting our God Power in them. They are figments of our creativity and imagination. We make them up to provide us with a game to play that is sufficiently interesting to command our full attention. After all, as the God Presence, with all the Power of the Universe, we require a very challenging game to engage us at the level of our true capacity to perform. If you were a professional athlete, would you be satisfied to spend your career playing college-level sports?

The issue you are dealing with is, "Where is the power?" Is it inside of you or outside of you? If you look to blame another for anything that happens, you are saying the power is outside of you. If you accept that you have the power, no one is ever at fault, and whatever happens is your own creation -- intentionally put in motion so the game you came to play remains interesting.

As you can guess, the same level of creativity, ingenuity and commitment is required to reclaim the power as is required to vest the power outside of you.
