[YOUR TRUE SELF]

Question:

I am thankful for technology that allows me to email you from Italy, where I am fulfilling a dream of living here. I just finished reading your book, "You Can Have it All" that finally arrived in the mail, in a box of my things. The time is absolutely perfect for me to read this, and that is underscored in the fact that I tried to have the box shipped from Texas in December 2002, but because of various reason I didn't receive it until September 2003. Your words inspire me greatly, and I am seeing immediate results of the ideas I am planting in my mind. I have been studying metaphysical principles, specifically the Science of Mind, since I was a child (about 30 years ago). But your way of communicating these principles for wealth and success have provided the "Missing Link" that I was seeking.

I am currently seeking a way that I can combine my spiritual principles, love of teaching, and business.

One question for you: you emphasize the importance of how we feel as a gauge as how well our lives are going, and to modify actions accordingly. And yet I believe that emotions can mislead us, and are often based on the ego's selfish demands. How to differentiate? I have lately been feeling "trapped" by childish anger, and I am sure it is not my highest self speaking, but it feels powerful (and bad) as it occurs.

Answer:

You created what you call "emotions" to mislead you. You have succeeded perfectly in what you set out to do. You are the Power and Presence of God. You came to the human to experience ways opposite to your natural state of perfection, abundance, joy, harmony, creativity and peace. To do this you had to hide the power and magnificence of your true Self. You used your ingenuity to develop beliefs and companion feeling qualities that you called confusion, uncertainty, anger, shame and powerlessness, to name a few, as the hiding places. Then you created events and circumstances to justify the names you gave to the feelings.

For example: you called a feeling anger and then created an event where you felt justified in expressing anger, or caused someone else to feel justified in being angry at you.

I suggest that you read my latest book, THE JOURNEY, to give you a feel for this new way of looking at your life experiences. The Principles enunciated in YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL are still valid. However, your consciousness has expanded greatly in the 20 years since that book was first published. You are now ready to see and experience the Principles in a much more expanded way.

The power that you successfully placed outside of yourself such as in money, authority figures, government, terrorists, disease and death is not power at all. You made this power up in your imagination.

The real Power remains in you.

The process of creating this make-believe power, placing it outside of you and then treating it as real is a major accomplishment: something to appreciate, not denigrate.

After you have read THE JOURNEY scroll back through the questions and answers previously posted at this website. This will support you in gaining a better feel for how to see the Power and magnificence of your true Self.
